"Blessed be the Name of the Eternal!"(Weisel 74).
This very statement tells me the strenght of many Jews. By that, I mean it tells me that many Jews stayed faithful even through the hard times. They kept their heads up and if I were in their shoes I would do the very same thing.
"Make an effort, Zalman.... Try...."(Weisel 92).
After analyzing this quote, I finally understood it. This quote tells how supportive the Jews were to one another. It's basically one Jew telling another to keep holding on because they're almost to the finIish line. I think that the encouragement that's given to each other is something that can make the oldest of stars shine.

"Yitgadal veyitkadach shme raba....May His Name be blessed and magnified...." whispered my father.(Wiesel 42)
This quote is expressing the emotions that are felt for the Jews. By silently praying, you can tell that some Jews still had faith. Faith is what keeps many of the Jews from falling apart and giving up all hope. If I was in the father's place, I would be doing the same thing. I would still be faithful and strong even though it was a harsh time period.
"Strip! Fast! Los! Keep only your belts and shoes in your hands...."(Wiesel 43)
Just by reading this statement, you can already sense how cruel and harsh the Germans were towards the Jews. They treated the Jews like animals, practically not humans just because of their religion. Its sad to think that this all actually happened to people just like us.

Night Quote Analysis
"I've got a premoition of evil," said my mother. "This afternoon I noticed some new faces in the ghetto-two German officers, from the Gestapo, I believe. Since we've been here, not a single officer has has ever shown himself...."(Weisel 22)
For this quote, I believe that the emotions and feelings during this period were very sceptical. Obviously by the attitude and word phrasing the mother has said, there seems to be evil lurking nearer. When Eli and his mother are talking, she explains that she senses evil. You are able to identify that this sense of unease in the air is that there hasn't been a visit from the German officers. The leading of their visit worries the family. I think the family will soon get to live the evil that is lurking near.
""There are eighty of you in the wagon," added a German officer. "If anyone is missing, you'll all be shot, like dogs..."(Wiesel 33)
My anaylsis is that the author is trying to express the authority given from the German officers over the Jewish people. This shows that if one tried to escape, then everyone in that cart or wagon would be held accountable. The officers would tell every Jew this to make sure that the would not try to escape. The fear driven Jews, from my perspective, were terrified; if you were willing to put others lifes at risk because of your stupidity then you would try to escape, otherwise you'ld be smart and stay put.

Snapshots of Bucephalus
Bucephalus is know as the greatest war horse to have ever lived.Bucephalus was known as Alexander the Great's horse. At the age of twelve,Alexander had owned the mighty horse. Many think that the beast was untammable, wild, and useless. The story of Bucephalus goes baack to the day he was brought to the king of Macedonia. He was sent by another foriegn king to try and tame this wild reckless animal.
One day the king of Macedonia was offered a gift from a friend of his that lived in a foriegn land. It was a jet-black stallion, wild and relentless. Little did the king know, waas that this stallion would soon change his royal family. Soon the king had organized a day for men to try and tame the beast. Bucephalus was hearded into a small corral surrounded by towns people and the royal family. All had failure of this task given to the willing men.
After watching men fall and be broken by the beautiful creature, Alexander stepped in. His father tried to stop him but instead made a deal with him. His deal was that if Alexander could ride the horse, he could keep him, otherwise, the horse would be destroyed. Realizing the horse's promblem, Alexander was succesful. He turned the horse towards the sun, seeing the horse was afraid of his own shadow. He told the horse he had the heart of a lion, the swiftness of an eagle, and the courage of a bear. The great horse let Alexander upon his back and away the rode off. The bond between the two shown through many battles and will never be forgotten.

Being an Outsider
In the novel Of Mice and Men, there's a paricular character who goes by the name of Crooks. Crooks is an African-american that works at the ranch as a stable-hand. Crooks is not at all bad, he's just got an issue, his crooked back. Crooks is treated different because of both his crooked back and his most of all, his black skin tone. I for one can understand what its like to be treated differently because of skine tone.
When I was a little girl, I was made fun of for my skin tone. Unlike many people, I have a tan skin tone that's darker than everyone else that is white. From that, I am always asked if I am mixed or Mexican, which I'm not. It was pretty tough for me, for example, I didn't make friends easily. Though I was little, it still hurts in a way to think of myself as being different. Then after spending time on my grandparents' horse ranch away from people, I came to realize to embrace my tan skin tone.
Today though, I have found people that love me for who I am. They don't care that I'm different from everyone else. I am very proud of who I am inside and out. For those who don't know me very well, the outside is just the cover of the book. Just like an old saying, "Never judge a book by its cover". I have learned that you need to open a book to find out what's really happening. To those who say that you can''t fit in, just be yourself, odds are you will find people who will except you. Like me, I have found many that love my hyper and crazy, silly self and except that in me.
